Growing up in Miami, some of my best memories were by the pool and grill in our backyard. Early on, it was me and my siblings hanging out by the pool while my Mom marinated the burgers and chicken for my Dad to grill. Eventually, I wanted to get involved. I watched, learned, and mastered not just marinating the food but grilling it to perfection. Living in Miami also meant being surrounded by an incredible mix of cultures and flavors. The city’s vibrant food scene inspired me to start experimenting with BBQ sauces, blending those diverse influences into something unique.S ammy D's BBQ-JERK is a reflection of those roots — the sweet family gatherings, the bold and spicy flavors of Miami, and the passion for grilling that started in my backyard.
