Growing up in Miami, some of my greatest memories happened around two things: the pool and the grill. My dad just loved to grill — any excuse to fire it up, he was out there. And my mom? She handled the magic before the heat — the marinades, the seasoning, the flavor that made everything taste the way it did. It was a team effort, and I wanted in. So I watched both of them, learned from both of them, and eventually worked my way into the kitchen and onto the grill myself. Miami shaped the rest. Growing up surrounded by so many cultures and flavors, Caribbean influence was everywhere — in the music, the food, the people. That curiosity naturally led me to start playing around with ingredients, mixing flavors, and eventually landing on Sammy D's BBQ Jerk Sauce. It's my dad at the grill, my mom in the kitchen, Miami's streets, and years of experimenting — all in one jar. Every time you open it, that's the story you're tasting.
